hello, old friend. ive missed you.

Sorry for the whole dropping off the face of the Earth thing. This month has been what one might refer to as "a doozy." Busy, busy, busy...

Will come back strong in January, with some more content and hopefully strange and interesting ideas coming to fruition.

a few things to tide you over:

The newest short film from Vincent Laforet shot entirely on Canon EOS cameras (in this instance the brand spanking new 1DmkIV body) and lenses is finally available on Canon's website.

In the form of holiday cheer. Here's wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and happy holidays to those who don't celebrate.

Scott Kelby's wife, who is apparently an incredible singer, recorded an impromptu holiday song. Worth a listen and certain to put you in the holiday cheer. (click the audio MP4 icon at the bottom to listen)

Video from your still camera? Why not...?

If you haven't seen what SLR cameras are doing with video these days (without several thousand dollar budgets and steadycams and pro video lighting and a crew), peep this. simple, but perfect. truly cool.

I'm hooked. I think there is no doubt the 5d ii changes the whole game. This was shot and edited with about three hours of total production time, the day after I got the camera. I never left seat 36b.
